We’re
halfway Day 1 and the competition is becoming more interesting! The Duelists that will be showing off their
skills at the feature match table are none other than Sebastian Faes and Jambé
Xavier. They’re piloting Fire Fist and Gravekeeper It’s time to Duel!
Xavier won the
dice roll and opted to go first. He started the match by activating Necrovalley
and setting a card to each zone. Sebastian had MST to destroy a set Fiendish
Chain. Next, he played Fire Formation - Tenki to search out Brotherhood of the
Fire Fist- Bear, and sent his Spell away to destroy a set Gravekeeper Recruiter,
which searched out another Recruiter. Bear attacked for 1600 damage, and Bear
set a Fire Formation-Tensu from the Deck. In MP2 he activated it and Summoned
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Leopard, who tribute itself to set a new Fire
Formation-Tenki from the Deck. Sebastian set 1 card to conclude his Turn.
Xavier
played Dark Hole! Next, he summoned Gravekeeper Commandant who attacked
directly. Xavier set 1 card and ended his Turn. Sebastian drew and flipped his
Fire Formation-Tenki to search out Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Bear. Next he
Summoned Gorilla through Tensu, which got banished by Bottomless Trap Hole.
Sebastian Normal Summons Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Bear, who tributes Tenki to destroy Commandant. Bear attacks
directly, and Sebastian used its effect to set the third FF-Tenki from his
Deck. He set a new card, and ended his turn.
On Xavier’s
turn, he summoned Gravekeeper Recruiter and attacked Bear, but got banished by Dimensional
Prison! Xavier set 1 card face-down and ended. The third Tenki got activated,
letting Sebastian search out Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Rooster, which he
Summoned through Tensu. Rooster traded in a Tenki for a Fire Formation-Gyokkou,
which locked down Xavier’s only facedown. He then proceeded to Summon
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Spirit, which he used to Synchro Summon
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Horse Prince. Prince’s effect allowed him to Special
Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Rooster, who added Brotherhood of the Fire
Fist- Bear to Sebastian’s hand. When Sebastian started attacking, Xavier
scooped up his cards.
Xavier just
couldn’t get his engine going under the pressure of Sebastian’s relentless
attacks! They both grabbed their Side Decks to prepare for the next game.
Xavier started
the second game as well by discarding Gravekeeper Commandant to search out Necrovalley,
which he activated. He set 3 cards and a monster. Sebastian summoned
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Bear. He set 4 cards and ended. Xavier set a new
card and ended his turn. Sebastian set a new card and activated Fire Formation-Tensu,
which he tributed with Bear’s effect to take out the set Gravekeeper Recruiter,
which got Xavier a new Recruiter. Bear’s attack was stopped by Compulory
Evacuation Device. Sebastian re-summoned it, but it got hit by Bottomless Trap
Hole! Xavier used Stele to get Gravekeeper Recruiter and Gravekeeper Commandant
back, and Commandant got him another Necrovalley. Next, Xavier set a card to each
zone and ended.
Sebastian
summoned Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Leopard, and tributed it to set Fire
Formation-Tenki, which he activated to search out Brotherhood of the Fire Fist-
Gorilla. Xavier had Mind Crush and called Gorilla, discarding it, and revealing
that Sebastian’s other card was Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Bear. Xavier
drew, flipped up his recruiter and attacked into Dimensional Prison. He then
set a Monster face-down and ended his turn.
Sebastian
summoned Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Bear, tributed Tenki in order to destroy
the newly set Monster. Xavier tried to stop this with Fiendish Chain, but Sebastian
had Twister! Recruiter got destroyed. Bear attacked directly, and its effect
got Sebastian a new Fire Formation-Tenki, which he flipped in Main Phase 2 to
get himself a shiny new Bear. He set a new Spell or Trap and ended his Turn.
Xavier
drew, set a new backrow and ended.
Sebastian attacked with Bear, putting Xavier at 4700 Life Points. Bear set another Fire Formation-Tenki from the Deck, which got hit by MST. Xavier Summoned Gravekeeper Spy and attacked Bear with it! Sebastian activated Twister to destroy Necrovalley! Spy got destroyed, and Bear set a Fire Formation-Tensu from the Deck. In MP2 Xavier activated a new Necrovalley.

Sebastian said, indicating that he didn’t have a any targets left. Xavier drew
and set 1 card.

Pot of Duality and revealed Fiendish Chain, Dimensional Prison and Solemn
Warning.
He chose Fiendish Chain and set it. Sebastian set a card and ended his turn. Xavier drew and summoned Gravekeeper Descendant. It attacked directly.

Summoned his final Bear! He Tributed Tenki to destroy Descendant, and once
again, Xavier wanted to stop this using Fiendish Chain. This time, Sebastian
had Forbidden Lance. Bear attacked directly for 800 points of damage. In Main
Phase 2 he set a card face-down and ended his turn.

drew and looked at Xavier’s graveyard before summoning Thunder King Rai-Oh. He
switched Bear to Defence Mode, and attacked with Thunder King Rai-Oh, which got
blocked by Book of Moon. Wavier drew and set a card.
